Should I be freaking out if I have pernicious anemia?

No don’t worry, just get ur B12 vitamin as ur doc perscribed. My mother actually has that. Wat kinda questions do u have about it, maybe I can help clear some stuff up

Ur blood count cud go down and u cud end up in the hospital or need a blood transfusion

Probably not very much. So, no My advice would b to not freak out, but get proper medication instead. Because that might actually help. ;)

Its a condition and can be dangerous, my mom has had to get 5 blood transfusions in the past 30 yrs

not all have to get a blood transfusion?? or doed everyone who has that condition has to get it in some point of there life.

Usually u will not get a transfusion if u take care of ur self the right way, like takein the vitamin under the tongue as the doc advised. I wud also ask ur doc bout gettin regular blood counts done on ur blood, about every 3 months, just so u can keep track of ur cell count

i really appreciate your help:) so let me get this straight- b12 is what makes the blood cells and intrinsic makes b12 and when the stomach doesn’t make enough instinct factor it doesn’t absorb b12?? but why ? my family intrinsic makes enought, why me?

No problem and yes all of that is right. Its not to common of a condition, so I’m not sure exactly why you got it, that question can best be answered by your doc
