Want to go on the pill but it really freaks me out

So I want to go on the pill but it really freaks me out to take something that alters my hormones. Girls, what pills have you tried that work the best ie: least amount of side effects. What are bad ones that had negative side effects? Is there anyone who had better luck with a diaphragm or female condom or other form of contraceptive? Should I just use a condom and spermicide?

No one can really answer the whole pill question for you because its a bit of a trial and error thing. Some people react to them diferently than others. I think once you find a good pill your body is ok with then use that and a condom and the spermiside. Then you are pretty well covered. Just remember that the pill is great but if you are on medications or have the runs it may not be 100% effective during that time so you need to be safer. xx

Look even if you are on the pill you should probably be using condoms, you dont know if the person has an STD (they may not know themselves) and even if you’ve been tested and are monogomous, you still never really know (people slip up). For your own protection, use condoms..
