What are some facts disproving god for a christians point of view? My dad is christian and I have facts to disprove catholics but not christians so can someone give me some? Christianity
DISAPPROVEMENTS ON THE CHRISTIAN SIDE: 1;If God exists then why are there still humanitarian chrisises such as Haiti? 2;If God exists then why are still diseases? 3;If God exists then why doesn't he rebuild rainforests and create more animals? DISAPPROVEMENTS ON THE SCIENTIFIC SIDE: ALL THE EVIDENCE OF GOD IS WITNESSES SO IT DOES NOT COUNT AS PHYSICAL EVEDENCE. APPROVEMENT ON SCIENTIFIC SIDE: 70% of the masse of the universe is an unkown energy that can be radioactive (also called dark energy) this could be what you think it could be .Plus there's a parallel universe witch we may soon be able to contact ,and yes teleportation is possible due to quantum theorywitch talks about atoms communicating.see ya didn't expect a 13 yr old girl to know all that did ya.
laanadupreez, You are incorrect. Not everything can be proven or disproven. Many people went by this assumption but the mathematician Kurt Godel. proved that except for the most trivial of logical systems not all proofs are possible. There are true propositions that are unproveable and there are false propositions that can not be disproven. This is called Godel's Incompleteness Theorem.
Addressing the God question this is inherently unprovable because it supposes a separate realm that we are unable to scientifically investigate and where the normal rules of physics and logic no longer apply.

Proven, yes, given actual evidence. Disproven, no. How do you prove that there are no fairies, anywhere in the universe? Or that there are no invisible unicorns? Exhaustive search obviously won't work.

That's not proof, it's belief. Also, I, like many other Atheists, used to be a Christian. Fortunately, I learned to evaluate my beliefs rationally.

As a continuation of my post on 1, I must say that the point I am about to make IS NOT relevant to your point, but I wanted to say that Haiti at the time of the hurricane was in moral depravity and political corruption (and I might add, the birthplace of voodoo). Maybe the corruption was so bad that God decided that it was time to get their attention back on Him?just food for thought

Sorry, this is a reply to Issabelle Anne Austine, and my computer wasn't letting me reply directly to her. XO any who, I wrote, "Your dissproving of Christianity is a little... weak? [I am a Christian, from both a spiritual and factual stand point. :D ] okay, 1. even though God exists, He isn't about to turn everything into sugar and rainbows. I think that is so for the purpose of avoiding spoiling us on earth (it's like choosing candy over veggies- candy tastes better, but veggies make us last longer. /D
How can you hope to see his face when you never have seen his hands. Look around. Everything testifies there is a God. For us to survive on Earth, a very fragile balance had to be formed and must be maintained. The elements, the microorganisms, the right gasses in our atmosphere and the right minerals distributed precisely so we eat them and maintain our living bodies. Some components are so essential, taking it away would end all life. Oh yes, there is a God and a plan for our being here.
you cant 'use' to be a christian...once you accept Gods gift honestly...theres no going back. you dont know what Christianity is... you never did..
Ah, very convenient. If you deconvert, you were never a 'true' christian. Perhaps you can tell us how you determine this ahead of time, though? What's the difference between a 'true' christian and someone just biding time until they deconvert?

Does he beat you with his bible or something? The only loopholes I've found in the bible so far are 1 The bible does not try to prove God, and 2 It is untold to us weather or not people with mental dissabilities (such as dimentia or alzhimers [sp?]) are capable of choosing God as their savior.

I am a Christian and belief in God - not through an upbringing - but through life experiences.

So try as you may, but when Jesus is in someones heart...no luck sweetheart.

You can't disprove god any more than you can disprove fairies or unicorns. You can demonstrate specific parts of the bible to be either false or unsupported, though. For example, the creation account(s) in Genesis are patently untrue, and shown to be so by geological and archaeological evidence, while the crucifixion of Jesus is not recorded by any contemporary Roman records.
You cannot disprove God. You can well prove that some stuff contradicts itself in the bible and makes no logical sense, but that does not disprove God.

dude, catholics are christians... so are protestants and a whole bunch of others. why would you wanna disprove your dad? im sure at his age he has come across the possibility that god may in fact not exist and has simply chosen to ignore it. I dont think some arguments collected on the internet will convince him. :D
I believe that When you REALLY want Jesus and not to be a CHRISTIAN then you are a christian its a love relationship. People who only are in it for heaven are missing out and are only faking themselves. People who follow God are in it to love him and to hate Darkness.
If you are christian because of an upbringing yes. When you are christian through life experiences...knowing is believing...

WRONG. Before entering into any religious discussion, you need to understand the difference between:
KNOWING vs. BELIEVING PROVING vs. CONVINCING PROOF vs. EVIDENCE
I think it would be easier to demonstrate why faith is not a valid way of obtaining knowledge. From a Christian perspective, if faith is not valid, then the whole thing crumbles.
I think that the only way of proving christianity wrong is by believing in something else even more bizarre than that of the actual christians.
there are no facts...either you believe or you don't. no one can 'prove' that G-d exists...no one can 'prove' that G-d does not exist...
I do not believe in the Bible, or any religion, but I stilll do believe in God.
