Do you think that there is a god?

Do you think that there is a god I pray every night and morring but people keep saying that there is on god I just dont know what to think about it all I think that there is one and him die on the cross of us and that but I just dont undstand it at all please help me to unstand it

Answer #1

So since there is no evidence that A committed the murder does it mean that A is a delusion in your mind?

Your eyewitness account is evidence… and it can be confirmed via polygraph. You could also strap Mister-A into the polygraph too, to implicate him. Also, ever heard of a Forensics? Its one of those ‘sciencey’ things you probably ignored when creating your unrealistic hypothetical scenario.

Answer #2

You have not understood my question or you don’t want to answer it straight.

I will make my question clearer. You saw a man named “A” murder another man and “A” left no evidences that would prove that he was the murderer. So now no one can prove that “A” was the one who committed the murder. So since there is no evidence that “A” committed the murder does it mean that “A” is a delusion in your mind?

Would you be Able to give accurate evidence of a murder which took place right in front of your Great Great Grandfather in 1709???

I would not be able to give evidence of course but a well documented document would be considered evidence?

Answer #3

Let me give you an example? Suppose you saw a man murder another man. The murderer was an expert and left no evidence at all

So he didn’t leave evidence behind of him being there at all, or did he dispose of the Body as well? In such case it is most likely the victim would be reported as missing, but if he was a homeless person or without any family, chances are less.

As for your imputation that many people experienced miracles or deeds of gods (perhaps), it can’t be reliable evidence if all 100 of their family or friends of friends family has to give evidence 200-300 years after the event can it??? Would you be Able to give accurate evidence of a murder which took place right in front of your Great Great Grandfather in 1709??? Don’t think so!

Answer #4

My question is simple. If scientific investigation did not find any proof why should it be delusional?

Let me give you an example? Suppose you saw a man murder another man. The murderer was an expert and left no evidence at all. Thus no one could prove that, that man was the murderer. So just because a thorough investigation did not find any proof does it mean that what you saw was a delusion? Let us say a 100 other people also saw what you saw. But there are no evidence so were they all delusional?

Answer #5

No, god is an imaginary being.

Answer #6

Yes Eternallife naturally you would say that, what you will not tell us now is, after a while and no prove still delivered (now I’m not talking 2000 years) and scientists thoroughly investigate my claims and still didn’t find prove, you would know there is something wrong with my sense of reality and I must be delusional or lie big time!
True or not?

In the same breath would you feel the same if a 25yr old adult claim the existence of The Tooth fairy and swore he saw it?

Answer #7

Hey hey, I personally believe in a self proclaimed religion of sorts but it doesnt dictate on a god or what, I believe that we shud strive to become physically and mentally better throughtout our lives, strive for perfection though I know it cant be reached but we must become as perfect as we can and continue to make ourselves better, I call it the way of uhymeye (pronounced You-hym-eye and yes it is odd I know) but im not exactly the nicest of people, I luv myself to be honest and well not much for the following of a god personally, I view myself as my own master really. I dont know if this is of any help probs not plus people will probs try and say im trying to convert people but the way of uhymeye doesnt say what to believe in just that you shud strive to do best and become talented in a select few skills etc anywho take care peeps

Answer #8

jane_of_the_jungle if I could answer your question I would say Yes I would be skeptical until proven. But skeptical means I don’t believe that you have seen such an animal. It does not mean I am sure you did not see that animal.

Answer #9

nor do I think anybody, will ever prove, or disprove, the existence of God, since we cant experiment with something we cant physically percieve or deal with.

…ahem… that’s copyright infringement… ù___ú

Does it exist or not? You know there are no Kangaroos in South Africa, so I must be utterly delusional. Would you belief what I told you, or would you be skeptic until proven???

Well, there are ZOOS in South Africa (not to mention wildlife preserves, and a f-tonne of open savanna), so there COULD be kangaroos there. One could’ve escaped from the local zoo, and found its way into a residential area. As for your analogy, you need to make it an ‘’invisible omnipotent omnipresent ethereal’’ kangaroo that also created the universe… to make it an accurate comparison.

Answer #10

Your right Captain, I could have seen a Cangaroo ;-)

Tell you what Athletalife, I won’t claim that it even is an ‘’invisible omnipotent omnipresent ethereal’’, being. Let’s change the animal to a small Theropod dinosaur which I saw in my garden several times.
Am I utterly delusional? Would you belief what I told you, or would you be skeptic until proven???

Answer #11

Athletalife - *yup. cause toadaly knows for a fact that there is no God right toadaly??

for a fact right?

im not saying I do, by scientific standards.

but you know 100 percent right?*

So Athletalife, I am staying in central city in South Africa, I tell you there was a Kangaroo in my urban garden yesterday and you come to my house to investigate. You don’t see any foot prints, neither any of his hair or dung around to proof it. But I still swore it was there and the next day I tell you it was there again. Still you couldn’t find any proof! What would this mean to you??? Does it exist or not? You know there are no Kangaroos in South Africa, so I must be utterly delusional. Would you belief what I told you, or would you be skeptic until proven???

Answer #12

* yup. cause toadaly knows for a fact that there is no God right toadaly?? for a fact right?

Yes. I know it for a fact. But my standard for facts is not “100%”, my standard is simply “a valid conclusion based on the evidence”. I don’t feel the need to reach 100% certainty about anything before drawing a conclusion. For example, leprechauns do not exist either.

Answer #13

I am not sure of my belief either and I am so very confused by the whole religion thing myself. But to be totally honest I believe something or someone did create earth but you dont nessecarily have to call him/her a god or goddess. Call it whatever you want. There is way to many relgions out there and to many different beliefs on life. There is to much science and confusion with life. If you are really in to learning about life and how we came here try studying on different relgions and even science. I wouldnt just set my mind to one set relgion because not just one person could be right about everything and how we came into this world. There is to much. Good luck

Answer #14

You dont have to understand, I believe that there is a god & goddess. I dont know how they came to be but I truely believe deep in my soul that this is true. I pray to. And every day my spiritual practises grow. Just go what you feel is right, if your refering to jesus and mary then um read the bible, cheak sites and ask people who are of that faith. Sorry I couldnt be of more help. ^^

Answer #15

yup. cause toadaly knows for a fact that there is no God right toadaly??

for a fact right?

im not saying I do, by scientific standards.

but you know 100 percent right?

this is a fun little advice website. everyone has their opinion. but one of this like, cannot be declared that there is not a God. you might be a skeptic and thats all right, but I have never encountered a skeptic to ever know proof that a God does not exist.

nor do I think anybody, will ever prove, or disprove, the existence of God, since we cant experiment with something we cant physically percieve or deal with.

you are declaring as though it is fact, but we all know you dont know for sure. no offense.

Answer #16

There are no gods. You can either go ahead and accept this simple fact and all the consequences, or spend the rest of your life trying to convince yourself otherwise and living in constant fear that death really is permanent - a needless fear, since it is possible to actually come to grips with that reality.

Answer #17

To some he exists, to some he doesn’t. I’m one of those who does believe in his existence.

Answer #18

of course there is. you’re a believer right? you should know that s*tan is just using those people to stop you from believing. I advice you to pray for God to bless you and help you strengthen your faith and not be discouraged. Ask him to save you from hell.

Answer #19

Find out why you pray to God every night and morning. Ask God, and you shall recieve. but you need to ask.

look for your answers from your teachers of the Lord.

Answer #20

Yes God does exist. He did die for us on the cross. What is it that you are having trouble with? I would be glad to answer your genuine questions. I will help you out no matter how many questions you have. But I would prefer that we talk using funmail because then we could have a discussion without any disturbance.

Answer #21

I am an Atheist. (But everyone has their own belief system and life view that sustains them. It’s called Faith for a reason.)

And to answer your question, I do not believe that a god exists. Nor ghosts, elves, alien visitations, dowsing, Tarot, biorhythms, Extends, nor those stupid foot patches that pull the toxins from your body through the soles of your feet.. I am open to proof of existence, but scientific proof. Not some fanatic waving a book around, or having enough money to put a slick ad together for late night TV.

Answer #22

People can believe what they want to believe but they shouldn’t make the decision for you.. I personally believe there’s a God :)

x

Answer #23

u believe what you want. il believe what I want. when it boils down to it, thats all that matters.
