C-SECTION

HOW MANY C-SECTION CAN A WOMAN HAVE?

Answer #1

There is no certain number - you can have as many as the number of children you have.

Although, if you have a c-section, you can not have a natural birth after you have already had a c-section. The rest of your pregnancies are going to end in c-sections.

Answer #2

I know…I’ve always heard that you can’t have one after a c-section also but she really wanted a natural delivery and her doctor let her try. Things worked out great for her in the end.

Answer #3

Wow - that’s awesome that she could have a natural. a lot of doctor’s won’t even try - they just go ahead and schedule a c-section.

Answer #4

Most doctors say 4 is okay. But you can have more. It comes with more long lasting complications though.

Answer #5

I know someone that had a c-section and then 2 years later had a natural birth…the doctor just needed to watch her more carefully to make sure that her uterus didn’t rupture. I think it all depends on where your uterus was cut at. C-sections get more complicated with the more you have because doctor’s can not keep cutting through the same scar tissue.
