bench pressing

if I benchpress 3 times a week, then how much weight will be added to my max a week?

Answer #1

If you bench press 3 times aweek, take that weight and add 10lbs. every week on the 2nd day of your workout. If you don’t, then the muscle will get “used” to it and you won’t be growing the muscle, but rather burning the fat around it to expose it. Add the weight on the second day so that your muscle group gets accustomed to the new weight and it will be harder to lift, but eventually you will. Good luck and see if it helps by adding 5-10lbs. every 2nd day of workout.

As a little insider, I tried this to my leg press, and it worked At first I could barely press 45lbs. but only a month later, and I’m pressing 100lbs. My “heavy” 45lbs. is now my warm-up. So good luck, if you have anymore questions, ask away.
