The leading Democratic White House hopefuls conceded Wednesday night (9/26/07) at the debate, they cannot guarantee to pull all U.S. combat troops from Iraq by the end of the next presidential term in 2013 - Does this surprise you ?

Of course they can’t guarantee it - they’ve failed a few times b/c they don’t have a large enough majority in the congress or house to ensure that their policies get pushed through. To override the forthcoming presidential veto on anything, you need a serious majority.

Well, if I invested in stocks, I’d be buying up defense contracting & related firms because they’re spending 190 billion next year alone. However, I think it’s sick to invest in other people’s misfortune.

Doesn’t suprisme me at all. I like Denis Kucinich. I don’t agree with 100% of his positions but he is the only one out there that I think could make a real change.

Sadly Mr. Kucinich is probably unelectable.
