Are hickeys only from kissing?

I know how you get a hickey from sucking on a persons neck and stuff but I didnt no if thats the only way you get one. I do cheerleading and my coach said that the girls who are basing and have people standing on their shoulders will probrally get hickeys and I was just wondering if is actually considered a hickey becuase its not caused by kissing or sucking?

Since a hickey is broken blood vessels, it is possible to get them in ways other than having someone suck on your skin. It could happen by doing anything that might cause bruising.

um basically it is a hematoma or bruises on ones skin…can be caused by many things
