How do I achieve the splits?

I have been doin dance for a good few years now but its been hiphop where ya don’t need to be flexible, but recently I started musical theatre where it turns out you need to be really flexible which I’m not lol so every mornin, afternoon and night I’ve been stretching to achieve the splits, but every video I’ve seen on people doin stretch tutorials or the splits can also bend down so that their faces are near touching the grounD but when I stretch and try it I cn barely bend at all, when I achieve the splits and stretch more will I be able to bend my upper body down more while stretching so that my chest is closer to the ground??? Xx

Just strech every day and you’ll slowly get more flexible it’ll just take some time

what i used to do: box splits as far as you can go and then bend over to touch one foot and then to the other then bend over in the middle. Stretch for 30seconds each AND DONT FORGET TO WARM UP AND COOL DOWN

box splits is sideways splits

you should know how to warm up and cool down because you do dance..anyway do some jogging on a spot to warm up and do some jumps then to cool down to some very light stretching the quad and calf muscles and your arms etc that gets rid of the lactic acid

it took me awhile, but you have to be sure to strech a bit everyday, if ya don’t use it, ya lose it. but don’t push urself too far too soon, or else u won’t be able to strech for the next few days that follow.

ohh yeahh i know what warm up and cool down to doo now :L ill just doo my dance onee :L just wasnt sure if there was a specific way for stretching muscles lol xx
