how to do the splits?

I want to cheerlead and the tryouts are at the beginning of next year (I’ll be going into high school) but I can’t do the splits!! ): what are some good tips for being able to do them? is stretching all that I can do?

any other cheerleading tips would be loved!! thanks bunches! -maddie :)

a good way to streach your middle splits is to lay on your back facing a wall then move your butt to the wall and let your legs fall so that your kinda doing the splits upside down

okay…stand about a foot away from the wall facing you back to it… and the leg you are more comfortable with having in front…and slowly move your leg up the wall…only go as far as you can…so when it starts hurting STOP! if you go past the hurting point you might snap you hamstring! that’s not good! Also you should stretch A LOT!!! while you are moving your leg up the wall scoot back with every inch you move your foot up! HOPE I HELPED! -S!!!♥
