Will my cat attack my baby rabbit and can I train my cat to getalong with my rabbit
I have a 2 year old rabbit. She is very timid. Recently brought home a kitten. I introduced them slowly and they just sniffed at first. Now the kitten stalks the rabbit and chases her all over the house. The rabbit is far larger than the kitten but doesn't defend herself. The kitten will even jump into the cage with the rabbit. It almost seems like they're snuggling but then the kitten nibbles the rabbit. Been searching for answers. Haven't found any yet but to answer your question(even though it's late) I think it quite likely.
doubtful. my cats are a nightmare with each other. but generally the process of training means they have to be left alone to a certain degree.
and don't forget that rabbits have vicious claws, so rabbit could injure cat too...
just make sure you have pet insurance.
also, they should need to be around each other uch, should they? arn't rabbits generally in cages or runs?
I think I'd hold off letting my rabbit run loose around the cat, until it's grown. A grown rabbit will probably intimidate a cat (ours did)...but as a baby, I think it'd look just like a big mouse to a cat...
Ditto, to sooitca...rabbits fight just like a cat...roll over and rip the attacker with the back claws...so you really don't want to test it.

I had a rabbit and a cat. They fell in love and tried to make 'rittens'. Then my cat died. I think he died of a broken heart cause the rabbit cheated on him with the neighbours puppy.
I have seen a cat attack a rabbit but it was an wild rabbit and cats will hunt them. Especially the baby rabbits.
LOL...rittens?? Cheating rabbits? Did they produce ruppies??
