Where in the hell did you hear that? Of course babies are born with minds, they have brains and they learn at a rapid pace. No scientist has EVER said that babies are born without minds. Your crazy.

You can't compare those two my dear. A table - you can watch someone make. We know that someone made it because we have seen it be done. We know that it takes a person to put boards together and nails to make this table. The sun rising - is the result of the earth spinning on it's axis, and your part of the word being in the direction of the sun. Have you not been to school? Do you really think the sun rising is some magical event? Go to science class and pay attention. Geez.

You say he forgives, what about homosexuals who are in love, your bible say's he does not forgive them. What kind of KIND God, condemns people for being in love and being happy. What kind of God, sits back as women and children get raped, murdered, abused. Please tell me how he is so freakin kind.

Open-minded thinkers can at least acknowledge OTHER potential gods, that are JUST as likely/unlikely to exist as the Christian one. Of which there are many deities that don't require the same ''worship me or burn in hell'' requirement, that the Christian god demands. Pascal's Wager suggests that either the Christian god exists, or NO gods exist... truly a standpoint for ignorant, arrogant people.

yea...I'm agnostic. bc I just cannot grasp that there's a place in the sky where there's angels singing and everythings all perfect and sht...jesus maybe he lived. but I dont think he was that big of a deal. I think his "powers" got extremely exaggerated at one point...and I dont think theres a god and I think its bullsht that christianity has been spread through the world scaring people into believeing in the crap so they won't "burn in hell" people are afraid to LIVE for fear they might do somthing and burn for it...

what man can create the world in 6 days...? what man can raise from the dead...? what man can conceive a child without intercourse...? the bible (to me) is a book full of stories. it was written by men who saw prophecies through their own eyes. if I were to witness an incidence and you saw the same thing, our stories would be similar yet different too. I've went to catholic schools for 9yrs then decided it wasnt for me. at such a young age I was forced to believe in things that I didnt even have a choice in. our society finds comfort in looking at this man for guidance. why? because when times are too hard and you have nothing/no one else..he's the only one keeping you going. others find that by questioning this God makes you only believe in yourself even more, that the only person who will make your life better is yourself.

He didn't give his son to me, because I dont believe in him. My opinion on his character is NOT irrelevant. If I am to believe in some mystical being, I would atleast believe in a good and humble one. Not one that sends people to hell to burn for an eternity. Not one who condemns people for being in love with the same sex.
You have your beliefs and as I said before, that's great for you. More power to you. The only reason why I argue with you is because you are trying to force your beliefs on others, tell them they are wrong. Religion should be a personal thing. You can't sit here and tell people they are going to hell, when they dont even believe in Hell. That's ridiculous and offensive.
In the Judeo-Christian tradition, God started out as a regional deity for the Hebrews, who brought about the conquest of Canaan and engaged in contests with other cultures' deities and kings (winning, of course). By the time the first books of the New Testament were being written, God was seen as a merciful, benevolent and all-knowing deity. God's evolution can be clearly seen by reading the entire Bible.
Jesus is comparible to Robin Hood, or King Arthur. He may have existed, but his life has been greatly embellished to the point where legend is fused with reality. Or he may simply be a symbol of Judean struggle against Roman rule in the 1st century AD.

everyone has theyre own opinions and you should respect that... stevenw1987 as much as you believe jesus existed there are also other who think he didnt exist.
YOU dont know for sure, anyone doesnt know for sure, if you are here to make everyone believe, then you are in the wrong place, everyone has theyre own opinions and in the end you should respect that
as for god and jesus, I think god is a fictional character created by man to scare others into doing what he wanted, WE created god, and as for jesus... he was an illusionist, and a very smart one at that...
What if she is wrong? That does not mean that she doesn't live a good life, help others, and do right. You can still be a good person and not believe in God. If your God is so great and humble as you like to say he is, why wouldn't he accept people who may not have beleived in him, but have lived their lives right. Please tell me. The way you are talking is making God sound vengeful and hateful, like he is wanting to spite people and send them to hell. If that's how God is, I'm glad to not be a follower of his. I won't worship a vengeful being.
I dont mind people having their religion and their faith, now when you push it on people and turn into a bible thumper. That's when people get aggrivated on here. Seriously. You asked a question. Your going to get reply's from all types of different beliefs and backgrounds. There is no proof in religion. Religion = Faith. Faith can not be proved. It's simple definations look it up. You can not say you have proof. You can say that you believe though.
Also there are more theories than just the big band theory. Do your research.

I never said he didn't exsist. Jesus could have very well exsisted and been crucified. I just dont believe that he was God's son, and I dont buy the whole story.

stevenw1987: Can you give one unequivocal example of prophecy predicting something that happened? Best I can tell, believers use a lot of imagination when they try to link current events to Bible prophecy. If you are going to list prophecy as evidence of the Christian God than you are going to have to come up with something concrete.
For me, God is imaginary. There is no scientific evidence there is a God, and until that changes I remain firm in my opinion.
I think Jesus may have existed, but I don't believe that he was the son of God, or that he performed any actual miracles. My best guess is that he was a prophet who had mastered the art of persuasion.

Instincts are the result of evolution. Animals, including humans, have the instincts and behavioral traits they do because they have been favored through natural selection, I.e. those traits have improved survival. Creation, on the other hand, has no explanation for instincts other than, God wanted it that way...
you tell me what science has come up with than... because the truth is they don't. big bang is there best explanation. but I warn you, if you don't believe in God and are happy with that, then keep your nose out of it. because you will sadly come to the conclusion that there is no other explanation...GOD DOES EXIST

Well no one knows whats out there or what is true. So why spend all your life worshipping something that might not even be true!! Why not live your life the way you want to. don't follow strict rules and just do what you want and be you. and btw my God is the singer Pink !! I follow the religion of Pink :P

so dramatic... anyhow. no the bible is not the wrong place to look only the problem is that you feel as if you need evidence to back up what it says in there...and of course interpretation.. all I am saying is that there is evidence, such as fulfilled prophecies and such.

And as for the universe...you may believe that a big man up in the sky waved his magical hands and created everything, but I think science has a much more believable explanation.

God put him in charge long enough to bring redemption to the world, and when this is done, all authority returns to God, from whence it came.

I looked in the bible. Read it front to back, analyzed it, tried to make sense of it, decided it was bunk.
I didn't realize the bible was the wrong place to look to find God.
I think if people agreed to disagree on matters such as this they'd be less wars and hurt in th world. You have accept others views even if you dont believe in them.

It depends on what religion you are talking about. Some people believed that he was, other's believe he is the son of God.
The Trinity - God the Father, God the Son - Jesus, and God the Holy Ghost / Holy Spirit - 3 in one - the 3 are 1.
