The guy I'm in love with is being sent to prison for life.. No phone calls.. No visits.. No contact... Im never going to be able to see him again.. And I just cannot handle this.. What should I do? Who can I turn to ?... :'(
How old is this someone your in love with that is being sent to prison for life? Your only 16...that's not somebody you need to be involved with because there are only so many things you can be sent to prison for life for...murder etc. And why can't he have visits or phone calls? If he isn't on death row or even if he is I don't see why you can't have phone calls or visits...it doesn't really make sense I've never met anyone that went to jail/prison and couldn't do any of that. My best friend from high school is in prison for armed robbery and he is in for 10-15 years depends on behavior, but I talk to him all the time and I've been to Georgia to see him. Honestly I'd turn to my best friend, but like I said it doesn't sound like you need to be in touch with him, and it also sounds like something doesn't make sense.
That is absolutely terrible, I'm very sorry. If that happened to me I wouldn't know what I'd do. The best person you can turn to is a friend/best friend if you have one. Friends are people that should be there for you in time of need, and vice versa. It would be kind of awkward talking to a family member about this kind of thing I would think, but you could always turn to family too if you feel that would be better. No matter who you talk to and no matter how much you try to feel better though you are going to be upset for awhile and there's no changing that. Heartbreak is a terrible thing. If there's absolutely no one you can talk to, there's always therapists, but it can be hard to put all your trust into a stranger.
I am sorry to hear that.. Friends, family, you might as well get a puppy :). Its a matter of time, I know it very hard. Therapist would make the time go faster and help you get over it.
