When I eat only fruits will I loose weight?

so I decided to eat only fruit will that help me loose weight? because I really want too loose weight fast

‘’Lose’’ not ‘’loose.’’ Man that bugs me.

Eating one thing and one thing only does nothing to help you gain or lose weight. It only gives you an unhealthy, unbalanced diet that can lead to nutritional deficiencies and medical problems. Fruit has very little protein, very little sodium, very little iron, very little fat, and is loaded with fiber and sugar and water. If you want to be a well-hydrated anemic with nerve damage who can’t stop pooping, you’re on the right path.

Losing weight is about one thing and one thing ONLY – using more calories than you consume. Eating 2,000 calories of fruit per day has the exact same effect on your weight as eating 2,000 calories of Cocoa Puffs. If you want to lose weight, eat a well-balanced, varied diet (including proteins and fats), exercise, and weight train.

And set realistic goals. If you’re planning to lose 10 pounds in a week (without surgery), you are not living in reality.

You have to get rid of this notion that certain foods make you fat and certain foods do not. It is 100% untrue, with zero basis in fact. 20 calories of fat is exactly the same (as far as weight-gain goes) as 20 calories of pasta is exactly the same of 20 calories of Skittles, it just doesn’t take as much to get to those 20 calories.

So if you wanted to only eat 300 calories for lunch, you could eat one burger or two salads to get there, but the calories from the burger aren’t going to make you any fatter than the calories from the salads (though the salad will be a whole lot better for you for other reasons).

No, you wont get fatter. I mean, if you ate and ate and ate then yeah you will put on weight, but a small amount of things will not make you put on weight. Its more about portion sizes, not the type of food.

Eating only fruits will probably work for about 3 weeks as they will have a laxative effect on your body. But you will feel very tired and will probably not do any exercise as you are so tired. Fruits are high in natural sugars, which is good as we need them, but will make you tired after you eat them if thats all you are eating.

PS: Bananas are high in protein, but you should do exercise after eating bananas as they are very dense.

mikeh, HAHA!!! Your first answer just made my day! Also, very true! Control your food intake, and don’t look for instant results. Sorry, but you’ll only get discouraged when you don’t lose the amount you want. I’m in the same boat as you, but your health is more important than how you look :)

no protein helps growth and repair of your body, its essential. it does not make you fatter. chicken is packed with protein, so is all white meat like pork. red meat like lamb and beef tends to be more fatty but it has lots of iron which is used to make red blood cells. by all means avoid these foods if you wanna be a short anaemic. :/
