So My moms really sick right now.. shes @ the hospital now but we dont want my little sister worried and knowing just how bad it is. What can I say to keep her reassured and calm. Any Ideas?
That really depends on the whole situation...
How old is your sister? What kind of illness is this?
If your mother is terminal, you need to tell your sister the truth - she needs to prepare herself for the worst, and 'protecting' her is only going to make things harder for her later on.
If your mother is simply 'ill' and will be getting better, then just tell her that.

Children pick up things and emotions and understand more then adults give them credit for. Tell your sister the truth, even if it's bad news. Especially if it's terminal, because you don't want her to wonder why no one told her later on...
11 is more than old enough to know what is going one and what is happening.
Shes 11 and its e-coli and almost lost her life but is doing better now
