what does the the religion agnostic mean or what is it?
Agnosticism (from the Greek a, meaning "without", and gnosticism or gnosis, meaning "knowledge") is the philosophical view that the truth value of certain claims—particularly metaphysical claims regarding theology, afterlife or the existence of God, gods, deities, or even ultimate reality—is unknown or, depending on the form of agnosticism, inherently unknowable due to the nature of subjective experience. Agnostics claim either that it is not possible to have absolute or certain knowledge of the existence or nonexistence of God or gods; or, alternatively, that while individual certainty may be possible, they personally have no knowledge. Agnosticism in both cases involves some form of skepticism. Demographic research services normally list agnostics in the same category as atheists and non-religious people, although this can be misleading depending on the number of agnostic theists who identify themselves first as agnostics and second as followers of a particular religion.
Agnosticism is not believing in a higher power necessarily, nor does it mean you don't know what to believe. Agnostics, like myself, see that there is no possible way right now to prove or disprove the existence of a god/s. We also realize that there is no conclusive evidence that man evolved from a homosapien (given that the infamous "missing link" is still missing). Though, we do know that evolution takes place. Agnostics, much like Atheists, tend to put more "faith" into evolution rather than a religion. However, this does not mean we aren't open to the idea, we just need substantial, real proof that there is a thing which resides all around us at all times.
I'm kind of like you, but I believe in Jesus & God. I don't chose over a religion like Christian, Catholic, Presbyterian, Lutheran I just believe in Jesus, and try to follow what Jesus tells me.
