Answer #1

I heard that ur weight, unless ur very under or very overweight, I will not affect ur chances

Answer #2

Being incredibly thin really can affect your chances, but if you’re still having your period regularly you should be fine with conceiving. After that, the complications would be with carrying and bearing the baby. Having a small body could mean a small baby, or a normal sized one that you might not be able to support. Toward the end, it could mean spending a lot of time in bed, and right at the very end, it could mean a c-section, depending, again, on your size. I’ve known deathly thin women to have healthy, happy children. But they have had to take a lot of time off because it got to the point where they couldn’t support the tum.

Being to thin can make you skip periods or have irregular periods and also affects the development of your ovaries and other things which enable you to have children. I don’t want to sound offensive, but you have bones sticking out and that is REALLY too thin. You need to see a doctor and dietician and figure out how to gain weight and what will be healthy for you.

Answer #4

you are very thin ,&& getting to thin will irregulate or even stop you from getting your period and with out tht you ovaries cant develop, and i agree with irene mabye you should go to a doctor and tlk to him about gaining some wieght befor u get pregnant or try for a baby because if you stay that thin you could potentially harm the baby or have a miscarage, but you’re not even 18…why r u worrying about getting pregnant.

Answer #5

I think what matters most is that you are healthy. I would suggest you go see your Doctor and talk to him about it. He will check you BMI (Body mass index) and if you are underweight he will probably send you to a Dietian to help your work out a healthy eating plan to help you gain whatever weight is needed. I wouldn’t worry yourself too much about it, gaining a little wieght if needed if not that difficult. I was extremely slim when I got pregnant with my son and he was born incredibly healthy (He got 10/10 on his Apgar test.).

Answer #6

I’ve only heard that if you’re overweight there is a slight chance that it might be a little harder for you to get pregnant, but from the looks of it you’re definitely not overweight !

Answer #7

You are very, very thin in that photo, but if your period is fine (coming normally and of an average consistence) then you should be fine. Sometimes, if you get too thin, your period will either stop coming or do weird things like start one day, stop, start again 2 days later, start for half a day etc etc. It’s your bodies’ way of telling you that your body isn’t suitable to carry a baby right now. Your period is the lining of your uterus being disposed of ever month when your body discovers it doesn’t need it because you aren’t pregnant. Even if you are very thin, if your uterus is still doing it’s thing , then you can probably have a baby. Do you know why you are so thin? While your are carrying, you will have to eat more as you are feeding your unborn baby as well as yourself. I suggest you see a doctor about it, they can do a few tests to see if you are too thin to carry.

Answer #8

In that your are very thin almost dangerosly so. In a reccently posted question you said you have been diagnosed with anorexia nervosa/bulima. This can affect your chances of getting pregnant because when you are not eating and/or vomiting any food you do eat you are depriving your body of the essential vitamins that it needs to develop properly. Therefore endangering your chances of getting pregnant of if you do get pregnant you might lose the baby because it wasn’t getting all the vitamins it needs.
