I've heard about those books but I haven't got to read them as yet due to exams. I find it a bit freaky how they run everything... I mean this all descended from the Egyptians and was brought to Europe and stayed there. There is rumours that all the world leaders are linked by blood and are part of this group, I don't know about you, but that's pretty freaky.
I didn't read the book mentioned, but I did watch the movie :)
I do find a few things odd about how the US runs it's economy (the fed, etc) when the founding fathers, and even for the first few hundred years, the very idea of how it's being run NOW was anathema to them all...well, food for thought.
The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown talks about Freemasonry. Freemasonry is a major branch off from the Illuminati. The Lost Symbol shows a lot of secrets that are revealed to us by Dan Brown.
