Excessive drinking and alcohol abuse can lower a mans sperm count the same way dr.ug abuse can - but it doesnt mean that he cant impregnate a girl and it also doesnt effect every man with an abuse problem. Plenty of alcoholics go on to be dead beat dads…..

by process you mean sex then yes. lchahold affects how you are and how you act as a whole, and sex is included in that.

It is not yet proven that alcohol may affect the process of pregnancy, meaning before getting pregnant. But If a mother is already pregnant it is suggested that she reduce, leave alcohol at all if possible. The reason for this is that: the alcohol, and other chemical in the drink, will flow in the mother’s blood and some will go to placenta. The infant’s heart is not matured yet to process the alcohol that comes into its body as well as the mother. If this thing happens quite often, the baby’s liver might be infected or in a dangerous condition (contiguous). It is miscarriage that the doctors worry about due to the weak condition of the baby. If the baby was successfully born, he/she will grow with not healthy heart. That is why there are some babies that got throw up, vomit, having bad diarea and so on. A responsible mother will give the best to her baby. :)
