Trinity

Ok the reason why I don’t believe in the Trinity because I don’t believe that God is 3 Manifestations of himself.

Jesus is a person not a Manifestation.

A couple of years ago I did believe in the Trinity but have learned from varies people that some of it was mistranslated that made me a little confused at first but with some study and researching I have learned that it is true. and see why people got confused with what the bible said. I know a lot of Christians and people that help me with understanding the Bible and Greek.

Although Greek is not the same as it use to be you have to do a lot of studying and understanding to know what some words or other things mean.

Now the hole Trinity thing is a joke to me, because it makes a lot more since with there being One God and Only One God not 3 in 1 No it just doesn’t make enough sense to be like that.

Does that make sense to you?

Thank you susila2.

matt18091 I think you explained it perfectly.

Answer #3

I have just always thought of the trinity as different forms of the same thing, sorta the same way H2O can exist as a liquid, a solid and a gas. Its still water.

Answer #4

Simple: you either believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible (without error), word of God or you don’t - obviously you don’t - thus you’re in effect calling God a liar - I believe that’s extremely dangerous but alas, your choice.

Answer #5

No I not believe God is a liar I believe God tells the Truth in everything, it’s just us that misread what he really is saying. =)

Answer #6

More times than not, that is the case - we are imperfect beings, so easy for all of us to do - that’s why we have to study and prayerfully discern His message - a child-like faith because it really is as simple as John 3 : 16.

Answer #7

Indeed, but I don’t believe we should just believe everything people tell us, I think Having Knowledge of the Truth is always good to.

Answer #8

It’s doctrine “mans attempt to explain God”.

No where in the bible does speak about the trinity, but it does speak of God the father, God the son, and God the holy spirit so closely as if they were 1. …so Man made up the trinity as an attempt to explain it.

These 3 beings make up God. They complete each other. Its kind of like an apple. An apple it made up of a skin, the meat, and the core. Take any of these parts away from the apple it wouldn’t be an apple.

People also have this in a sense. We have a pysical side, a mental side, and a spiritual side. These three parts make up a person. Take any of these away and it wouldn’t be a person.

Hope that helps =)

* you either believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible (without error), word of God or you don’t - obviously you don’t - thus you’re in effect calling God a liar

Amblessed, it should be obvious that there isn’t anybody who simultaneously thinks God wrote the Bible and also thinks it has errors. Obviously, the people who see errors in the Bible recognize that it is the work of humans rather than the work of a god channeling through the hand of a scribe.

Answer #10

You are not the only Christian who doesn’t believe in the Trinity. The Unitarian Church (and the broader Unitarian movement) believes in God as having one single personality.

So you are certainly not alone - and other people who try to tell you that you are wrong or that you are calling God a liar should respect your beliefs.

Answer #11

The trinity was made up to appease the pagans who were used to polytheism, but they still insisted the three were somehow one in order to satisfy the judeo/christian concept of one god.

It is all rather silly…

“a child-like faith because it really is as simple as John 3 : 16”

amblessed, some of us have grown-up and seen the real world for what it is, and others want to carry on with child-like fantasies.

Answer #12

Nobody has provided me a Biblical basis for the trinity. There are passages that seem to support the concept and passages that seem to go against it.

Be happy you live in modern times. Giordano Bruno was burned at the stake for heresy because he denied the trinity (there were other reasons but denying the trinity was probably the main one).
