What things can trigger Asthma?

I have Asthma and have had it since I was only little. I don’t know what triggers it? I’d like to find out what triggers my Asthma.

Answer #1

Allergies, excessive pollution (that happened to me in New York, the pollution was so bad my asthma went crazy). Not sure about other causes, but those have both happened to me.

Allergies Pollution Milk products tend to trigger it Stress Exercise Cold air/wheather

Answer #3

Most triggers have been covered, the only other thing I can think of is illnesses to do with the chest. My asthma only flares up when I have a chest infection.

Answer #4

I forgot about that one. The same happens to me.

Answer #5

Also dust & dust mites…those are the major issues with even having the attack especially in a closed area!

My family suffers (well my dad & I) from Asthma, Bronchitis just upper respiratory issues period!

Anything can trigger it…from spicy foods, change of weather to catching a cold after a shower….SMOKING a major issue…

only way to keep it in control is by particular exercises…like swimming to enhance the lungs….believe it or not….actually blowing 10 balloons a day will increase & help(i heard it on the news as a study proven!)

keep your home clean & dust free…same with work area….ask for people to not smoke around or near you…stay away from polluted area’s and most of all if you cant cover your nose & mouth with a filtered mask.

Answer #6

i personally sometimes get it when i lie down, when i come inside from the cold, when i am sick, and after/while i exercise :( it SUCKS but there are lots of medications out there that help so it doesn’t bother me to much.
