Tounge Piercings

Can someone tell me the pros/cons of Tounge Piercings? I know it will hurt, but is the pain really bad? And how can I persuade my parents to let me have it done?! My dad would let me… its just my mum does worry a little too much! :P

first how old are you, if your under 16, really…think about this more it cann affect you school if they have a dress code and most jobs find them very unprofesional it can sometimes benifit oral sex not always though, and its all a matter of personal preferance apart from that, they only thing peircings do is sit there and look pretty but they usually dont look as good later on, when you grow up other cons infection, healing time, if you get a inexpirienced person they can hit a nerve, doing that will paralize all feeling in either all of part of your tounge its an important muscle, so get it dont profesionally and really, think about it first if you want a hole in your body, get it but dont get it just to be “cool” or because everyone else does

Tongue piercings actually dont hurt that much at all. Atleast not the piercing part of it. The worst part is the swelling afterwards. You also have to learn how to talk with it in, it takes a little time. Make sure you dont have a metal barbell in all the time either, you can chip away at your teeth and knock the enamel off and weaken them.

chris rock said it best “if you meet a girl with a tongue ring, she’ll probably suck your dick. If you meet a girl with a tongue ring, he’ll probably suck your dck”

It doesn’t hurt to get it done (just a pinch, really), but afterwards, the tongue swells. It’s difficult to eat, it’s tender, and sometimes your glands swell and you end up with a huge lump under your chin (temporarily). After about 3 days the swelling goes down (if you don’t end up with infection).

Then, you are risking damage to your teeth because the stud rubs against the enamel, and I can’t count how many times I’ve bit down on it - I have a chipped tooth to prove it.

I took mine out 6 years ago, and I now have this huge, ugly scar on my tongue that is very noticeable everytime I laugh or open my mouth.

I’ve been there, and I have to side with your mother - I wouldn’t advise it.

I have mine done and when I got it done it hurt really bad but afterwards I ate alote of ice and it did swell alote for awhile but it didnt bother me I ate pizza right after I had it done. it took me an hour to eat one slice but I did. But if I had the choice to get my tongue peirced again I def wouldnt. I also have my nose peirced and it didnt hurt at all. You should have that done instead if your bad with pain.

Dont get it. IM TELLING YOU NOW. mine got infected and my tounge started rejecting it and now I got a BIG hole bout 2 inches. Also the swelling isnt worth it and it chips teeth and it gets in your way, and sometimes you forget bout it and yeah. And for me it hurt getting it done a lil like a big bee sting on your tounge then it was done then the swelling happend and never went down and my tounge was so fat you could NOT even see the back of my throat it was so bad then the swelliing went down a tad and then I got an infection and now I have a big hole so big the ring fell out bcs it rejected it.
