My whole tongue burns super bad when I eat certain things ?

So this has only been going on for about a week, certain things that I usually eat just fine burn my tongue so bad to the point where I have to stop eating it. I was eating some alfredo pasta with some garlic powder in it today and it was burning so bad. I had 2 ginger snaps this morning and it was hurting super bad. I had some chicken nuggets dipped in BBQ sauce same thing. Yesterday I had a chicken burrito with nothing spicy, no peppers, nothing hot, and I literally could only take 2 bites. It’s getting ridiculous and it hurts really bad, nothing seems to sooth it either. Anyone have any ideas of what this could be/how I could fix it ?

Food allergies? Or a side effect from a medication?

You may have to see a doctor about this because it could also be something very serious.

A little less than a month ago I was taken off of all of my depression/anxiety meds and I’m just getting the toll of it now. Do you think this may have anything to do with it ?

Answer #3

Well I can’t say for sure, but I guess it’s possible………meds change things such as gastrointestinal (related to tongue burning believe it or not) but like I said, if this keeps up you may have to see a doc because a part of your body is telling you something…………..Glad your off those meds….I don’t trust em…hang in there
