How do I tolerate people who try to change me?
cause frankly i cant stand it anymore my mom, cousin,aunt,sister,school people, they try to change me. they tell me that i would look better if i wore a shirt, or real shoes(flats) that i should fix my hair( i mean whats so great about a hip lenght,fizzy clump?) and they look at me with disgust everytime i put my hair on a braid. im just so sick of it. my mom tried to take me to one of those manner clasess. guess what? i told them i wasnt gonna do it even if i had to. people need to back off seriously!
with shirt i meant like a blouse(really need to review before i post)
Well if the are traying to change you for good make sure you realize some things, see if they are traying to do you good by this in any way, sometimes those who try to change you do it for the best, explore and be honest with yourself and see if there is something you could change in. If that is not the case then just sit there and listen, people are going to try to make you the way they want but its your choice whether you are affected by that. When they are traying to change you or talk to you just say yes, simply listen and don’t say anathing, let it in one ear and out the other its your choice at the end. Ignoring can be easy if all that is being said is not true.

Perhaps you could strive for a compromise with your ‘tormentors’- something like “Could I please be myself now and then?”
Growing up is HARD but it is a matter of give & take and open, honest and sincere communication is the place to start. Without knowing all of the dynamics in your life it is hard to give you the ‘perfect’ answer…
