Why do people EVERYDAY try to talk like me and make fun of me?
i cant help it if my voice sounds different from all those country people.. but i am country but i dont have the accent.. so why do they make fun of my preppy voice?
Because everyone feels the need to make themselves feel better. Embrase it and it loses its potency. I was the only asian living in a dominant african amarican area, and I always got picked on for having long hair and slanted eyes. They tried to tease me calling me pocahantas and telling me to go eat pandas and stupid things like that, like asking me if I eat cats. Its the way immature people deal with real life. They dont understand differances nor can they accept them. dont waste your time worrying or even thinking twice about it. Just laugh it off and make fun of yourself with them. It makes it almost “old news” and it will pass. ^_^ Best of luck
i don’t think they’re doing it so purposely hurt your feelings , they’re probably doing it for a banter. You could just in return make fun of their country voices or just laugh along with them and realise accents mean praticulary nothing in life.
because you let them. Two ways: come to them ans tell them to stop (make them stop) or ignore them completely.
