Consult your Doctor but I don’t think at that age they are capable of developing that ‘mindset’…Take care !!

I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old and both of them went through this. I think it’s something that every kid goes through. They both grew out of it. Your kid is at that age when they get a little bit more “adult” food and are still trying to figure out what they like. Don’t worry.

My daughter is exactly the same way!!! shes 23 months… try not giving her as much milk that will fill her up and try not giving her sweets maybe… cause that could be all shes wants… I’m making that mistake right now… I would just keep trying to feed her I know its hard but your daughter will not starve when they are hungry they will eat.. My daughter has been eating more latley now that she is alittle older try finding foods she likes.. try yogort and jar baby food fruits or those gerber gradutes snacks those are good too. good luck with that dont worry too much she will eat when she is ready =)

is she drinking anything? because if you r giving her too many bottles or drinks she won’t be hungry! I used to babysit for someone. the baby’s grandmother would always come over during the day and if she saw the baby didn’t have a bottle of formula, she would always give her one! When she didn’t come over (and I wouldn’t give the baby formula as she was 18 months old and didn’t need it!!) she would eat just fine. I would say as long as she’s not losing weight she’s probably fine. Try feeding her different things! Then again, I’m not a doctor!!

Answer #5

the stomach of a 20mth old child is about the size of her fist…which is very small so they can only take in little amounts of food at a time…do you let her feed herself? if you do try feeding yourself…most child have a small attention span and don’t stay focused long enough to eat all their food they get distracted want to go play and so on…my 3 years old does this but when I feed him he eats more than when he feeds himself…be sure to offer fruits and veggies so that the little food she does eat is healthy

Answer #6

My kids have gone through this stage too. It’s completely normal. Although my son had me scared because he went through this faze for about a year or longer. He is now eating much much better now. Just make sure your child stays hydrated with plenty of fluids and water. Make sure your child gets daily vitamins to supplement when she isn’t eating right. Mama K
