My 2 1/2 year old male cat has started peeing on our furniture. We immediately took him in to the vets and found out he had a severe urinary tract infection. After months of treatment, the UTI has cleared up, but he is still urinating. Any idea's on how to stop this? I know it's not his fault, and we adore him. I don't want to have to keep him locked up when I can't watch him!
he's using his litterbox regularly as well, so I don't think that will help. I'm pretty sure he's mad at us or something, and is doing it to make a point. It's in the same place every time also, right on the corner of the couch. I thought maybe the UTI was back, but the vet checked his urine and it was good. Also, when he was peeing with the UTI he was going everywhere! Bless him, he liked the bathtub and sink the best. He's not doing that anymore, just the corner of the couch. I'm so frustrated!!
heeyaa maybe this is a little weird but when our cat use to pee everywhere we sprayed a sweet smell on where he should pee cats dont like smells they dont know so they pee over them to sign its theirs try it,it could workx
