they just ask you a few questions, one of the first ones they ask are if youve alreday had sex. if you have they may do a pap test and also ask you if your pregnant or think you might be. they will also ask you if you smoke as smokers cannot use birth . he'll also ask you other questions to determine which particular type of pill is right for you, as they all have side effects. remember that you can also ask your doctor questions about the pill
They usually do not do a pap smear.
He will generally ask you questions about your health i.e. do you smoke, have high blood pressure etc.
Then he will measure your blood pressure and then discuss with you what type of birth control you would want.
I suggest research about the types of birth control first to make sure that you know which one you want.
You realize that once you become sexually active, the gynecologist is someone you need to go see? But no, the doctor will not always do it. Also you do know, they can't do anything without your permission. A simple no will suffice. They'll ask you a bunch of questions about being sexually active, etc...
As far as I know they do not. Usually when you go to the gynecologist he or she will do a pap smear in any case, but not because you are going on the pill, just because they generally do one whenever they give you a check up.
Also a pap smear is really not that bad.
When i got on birthcontrol i never had to get a pap smear, they just took vitals asked simple questions and then gave me the prescription haha quite straight forward and easy :)
Whhhat? They really don't? That's why I've been procrastinating.. I don't want a pap smear lol.. I'm gonna have a word with my mom..
Yes, they will need to do a pap smear.
