Answer #2

If you are taking your rightful place back then you won’t know that until you are in eternity before the Great White Throne judgment mentioned in Revelation. There it will be too late and these very words will haunt you.

What, you think you’re the only person who went at me? As I stated in my advice to another question(in which you still have yet to respond to), if going to heaven meant being a closed mind bigot who worshiped a self absorbed, spiteful, malevolent being, I’ld rather burn in the abyss.

In the beginning was God and He created mankind. Mankind rebelled against Him. Therefore Christianity is not us rebelling “against the feminine deities in pantheistic religions.” as you mentioned. That came later after the fall of mankind.

I’m the scientific kind. In the beginning 2 parallel universes collided & created this universe. This theory is known as the Collapse theory. Oh, I must inform you the garden of Eden has been found, there are dinosaur fossils there, & there is no substantial evidence that it was the birth place of man. There goes that theory out the window.

You said “I Actually believe in the Goddess Luna, & I’m quite content. But hey, I do realize that my belief in her is nothing more than a way to focus my thoughts. That she does not exist & that she is nothing more than a figment of my imagination.”

From that I must ask you, “why do you put your belief and trust into “Luna” when you said yourself that she doesn’t exist and she’s nothing more than a figment of your imagination that helps you focus. Why not focus on who is real/not a figment - but the true and living Lord of the Universe - Jesus Christ. The one who died and rose again - taking all your sins upon Himself so you can be declared righteous before God!

Ha, she’s more real than that load of crap. Luna is the moon Goddess. Ever since I was a young child I’ve always had a deep connection with the moon. It always held sway over the emotions & thought process. The ancient romans & such just called the moon a Goddess, that’s basically what I’m doing. I realize she as an actual divine entity does not exist, but her as the moon that hold sway over me does. & besides, the belief of her as a divine Goddess is a subconscious belief that I consciously denied. It not something that I can just change. I believe in it, though I realize that it cannot be proven & that it can be dismissed as nothing more than sheer myth. I focus my thoughts & power through the belief, enabling to better help myself. For instance, in church when people ask the biblical God for guidance, they’re relying on a divine being to help them. Me, I’m relying on myself to help me through the belief. It’s a bit of a paradox that simple mined people such as yourself will have problems keeping up with. Hell, even my genies friend has problems keeping up with that. It’s not something that can really be explained rather than just understood.

You spit venom at God, but the mere fact that you are still breathing His air is testament to the fact that He wants you to surrender the darkness for His wonderful light. You get upset because you are in bondage to a lie. Challenge what you have blindly accepted and you will see that only thru Christ can you find real power/love/acceptance/forgiveness.

Remember what you said in your moment of honesty that the goddess Luna doesn’t exist and she’s a figment of your imagination that helps you focus. Come on over to the truth and allow Jesus to show you how real He is. Luna can’t do anything for you because she doesn’t exist!

As I stated in my advice in the other question(assuming you didn’t read, it’s been about 3 days now since I posted it, here’s a link http://www.funadvice.com/q/wicca_and_other_religions ) I WAS Christian, & I DID read the bible, that’s why I DON’T believe in the bible. It’s something man has created & should be obvious to those you read it. & I challenge what I believe in almost everyday. Everyday I change. I never stop changing. I grow & my thoughts & beliefs grow. I drop what I see fit & no longer need. Eventually I’ll more than likely drop my belief in Luna do to the fact I’ll no longer need the belief in a higher entity. As for going on over to truth, you are not one to talk. As I stated, I was a Christian, it was the worst time of my life, & I was the blindest I had ever been as one. I started to question my beliefs, challenge them, they did not hold up to my challenges. I eventually saw that it was no more than sheer fantasy I was caught up in. I simply grew out of it in time & will not regress to that state of blindness again.

You get upset because you are in bondage to a lie.

No, I’m not even upset. If I were, the only reason would be the fact that a close minded bigot is telling me what I should do without even thinking for a second that I took that rout before & it obviously did not work out for me ,as you can see. I’m not the one who need challenge my faith, you do. Perhaps then you will see, but you’ve been so intoxicated with falsehood & lies that I highly doubt it.

I’ve answered you, now answer me http://www.funadvice.com/q/wicca_and_other_religions

Wicca is an earth based religion that worships the Gods and Goddess as well as the cycles of the earth and balance. Except good and evil they believe that these are man made concepts and don’t exist in nature .

Wiccans do use magic but its not necessary. Wicca is a religion and witchcraft is the use of magick. They believe in no harm done meaning they do nothing magick or otherwise with the intent of harm. They also believe in the rule of 3 which means that what ever you do ,good or bad with magick or not , comes back to you x3. This is also known as Karma.

They don’t follow any doctrine such as the bible, but there is somethings that a good wiccan should know like: the Wiccan Rede, 13 goals, general beliefs, Charge of the God and the Charge of the Goddess… They have 8 sabots a year that are in tune with the cycles of the earth such as the solstice, and equinox. These focus on the God while the esabbats new and or full moons, focus on the Goddess.

They use tools like: athames (ritual knifes), wands, pentacles, ect.. to draw and direct energy. These are only tools and a representation of energy.

There are many different types of wiccans. Such as Traditional, eceletic, solitary, coven. Traditional is usually in a coven with strict rules such as Alexandrian or Gardener. Eceletic is one that doesn’t follow any coven rules they find what works for them and incorporated that and kinda make there own magic. A solitary works usually alone as opposed to a coven that works together. However sometimes they may work with other solitaries or gather to celebrate a Sabbath.

A Book of Shadows (BoS) is a witches/ wiccans journal for spells, experiences, herbs, knowledge, ect… A book of shadows could be a simple note book to a normal binder.

Traditional it takes a year and a day of study before initiation. For coven members they are usually assigned a mentor to teach them. General they are not permitted to cast spells but are allowed to observe the coven and celebrate on Sabbath. After a year and a day if the mentor and other members of the coven think he/she is ready they will perform an initiation ceremony and they will be welcomed into the coven. Initiation however dose take a coven. Self initiation are commonly know as dedication. This is here you dedication yourself to a God or Goddess or even the belief its self. This is a judgment call on your part. Aging a year and a day is traditional but this is your journey and if you feel you need more time that’s okay too. A solitary can study by reading everything they can, or maybe finding another that is willing to be a mentor.

Most of all they don’t worship Satan or put hexes on people. They are a peaceful people. Anymore questions e-mail me. Blessed Be

I use to be Wiccan until recently. The past week a guess now I had an eye opening experiences. I guess now I would be an atheist

Wicca, is a new religion under the guise of an ancient name. Gerald Gardner brought the religion to public attention in the early 1950s. It’s a pantheistic religion rooted in light Celtic practice. Wiccans celebrate Celtic Festivities and some revised Celtic practices. Wicca’s main magick practices consist of candle magick, elemental magick(Aeromancy, Geomancy, Hydromancy, Pyromancy), basic healing, ruin, and herbal magick. Depending on the individual, practitioners may take it further. Many Wiccans practice chi and fung shi as well. Wiccans do not practice dark magick, nor any magick that seeks to cause harm to others. Many Wiccans follow the Wiccan Rede,a poem written by Doreen Valiente in 1964 (for more information on he rede, just click here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiccan_Rede ). Originally wicca was brought to the public as a duotheistic religion, believing both a God and a Goddess(or multiple Gods and Goddesses). The most popular today are Pam (recently known as spirit of the forest, however, originally he’s the roman God of corn), and Diana(roman goddes of the hunt and wild animals, also sister of Apollo-god of the sun). Over the past 50 years people have morphed it and created their own different traditions of Wicca. Gardiner(said to be the first), Georgian, Dianic , Seax, Circle, Celtic, even Electric, Egyptian(I’ld call it out on bs), and even fairie(the list goes on). However, remember, no matter how old people claim Wicca to be, it is not the first religion, really, no where near it.

The oldest (recognized)religion is Pantheism, root of all existing religions today.

The original Wicca (Hu Wika-spelling it how it’s pronounced) dates back to Celtic time. The ancient Wicca’s DID practice animal sacrifice. An ancient philosopher recorded information about the Wicca’s in his journal(I forgot the name, I know it wasn’t Plato). There are approximately 4 copies of a book that talks about the ancient wicca’s(I’m sure there’s more than one type, but it will be rare, especially in modern days). When the Roman Empire moved upward, pushing the Celtics further North. The Wicca’s stayed behind and did their thing, the romans slaughtered them.

Though some will mar the terms Wicca, witch, and Pagan together, they are different things not to be mistakenly intermingled. There are distinct differences.

Answer #6

Wicca is the quest for knowledge and the attempt to achieve balance. They seek to obtain knowledge, have power and use their power to achieve balance. Then they seek to unleash the god/goddess within.

The problem is that they are deceived as they deny the existence of heaven/hell/original sin/demons/satan. Their disbelief doesn’t change the fact that God is the God revealed in the Bible and only thru Christ can we spend eternity with God.

The wiccan belief fits in with the major lie that there’s no absolute truth/no one way to God/etc. Satan and his minions are evident when wiccans experience things that are supernatural. While they give the credit to the harnessing of energies, satan/demons laugh at their blindness. When will they realize that their spells/works are of darkness & do little to change anything on a mass scale.

These are the latter days and rebellion against all things true & holy has begun on a grander scale the likes of which this world has never seen! Those on God’s side must uphold His Word for His Word is the truth. Satan gets people by giving them immediate gratification or he shows them stuff fast. God deals with the heart and He changes us from the inside out. God’s way may sometimes require patience but His ways are always what’s absolutely best for us. His eternal power & glory are truly unmatched by any god/goddess/devil/satan/demon/witch/warlock/person/machine/thought/ideology/deception/etc!!!

Answer #7

“These are the latter days and rebellion against all things true & holy” No, we’re just taking our rightful place back. Christianity is the rebellion if you do some research. The biblical religions started out as a rebellion against the feminine deities in pantheistic religions. & As for trying to get to God, whose God, yours? I wouldn’t want to get to that vile, spitful, self centered ,cold hatred brute if I had to. I Actually believe in the Goddess Luna, & I’m quite content. But hey, I do realize that my belief in her is nothing more than a way to focus my thoughts. That she does not exist & that she is nothing more than a figment of my imagination. & Who cares what’s revealed in the bible, it was WRITTEN BY MAN. It’s no more special then any other book out there except for the fact that it’s the most malicious & malevolent & has the most bigots believing the BS it dishes out. nothing more really.

Answer #8

Oh, & I do admit I was wrong about how old the religion is, it’s 100’s of years yes. I learned something new a little over a month ago. However, modern day way of saying it is new, & wrong. Wicca is pronounced Witcha(Witche for females). Over time the e & a were dropedd & it was just witch, a slang word for the word. When Crowley “revived” it he spelt it Wica dropping the ch pronunciation (“cc” =ch) & giving birth to the new was of saing it, Wika, which is actually wrong.

Answer #9

Well said Jester_x

Basically it is an earth based religion. It’s maybe a century old, at max, however, the origins are ancient. The believe in a God & a Goddess. The moon & earth being deities of the Goddess, the sun the God. It takes a year & a day of studying under one that is already a Wiccan to become one, though you can self learn.

Answer #10

theX13thxchild you are right about everything you said except for time, wicca has been around for hundreds and hundreds of years,
