How can I get back to a normal sleep schedule?

All summer I’ve been staying up real late and sleeping in. Well,I need to get back to my regular sleeping pattern before school starts. Can someone help?

You’ve got to get least 8 good hours - so it’s Discipline - if the figure is 9:30pm, make sure your bod is in the bed Then - not 5 mins later - maybe reading a book or radio on low will help you…Good luck and have a Great year !!

LOL, I have this same problem every summer. I mean my mom even gets mad at me because I stay up til like 4 in the morning. I have to do the same myself. What I always do is get up early like 8:00 in the morning and then when bed time comes around 10 pm or sometimes 10:30 at the latest I take a shower and go to bed. One thing I heard not to do before you go to bed is watch t.v. or go on the computer becuase they are so bright and send your brain signals that you need to be awake. I heard you should read or take a shower for twenty minutes before bed and that will tell your brain to relax and settle down. I hope I helped! NOw I better start tomorrow! lol, later.

My thing would be to start your schedule now…

Make it a point to lay down by 9p or 930p…

Either put the tv on for a bit to wind down and relax… or put the radio on SLEEP and listen to that

Just to get yourself in a pattern so that when you go back to school, come 9p or 930p at night, after your homework is done, you will be ready to hit the sack!!

I had the same problem, but I’ve firgured out that, if you stay up late like usual, then wake up really early the next morning, then you will be very tired when bed time comes around.

Answer #5

weave your way down. Say you go to bed at 2 and get up at noon (thats what I do :P) Each night go to bed an hour earlier than the night before and wake up and hour earlier (set an alarm) and go as far untill ur satify. But don’t waste any of your summer, for me sleeping in is a huge part of summer and im not wasting a minute of it :P Hope that helps
