Why does it seem like every single time something good happens to me it is ruined?

I love Matthew, but it seems like since me and him went to the water park and spent the glorious day together that we are falling apart… :’( what do i do?

It’s a cognitive distortion. Perhaps a confirmation bias, perhaps a negativity bias, selective perception, the list does go on. The reason it SEEMS that way is because as human beings we dont remember everything accurately and equally (all memories are not retained the same) thus when something bad happens we feel sorry for ourselves and complain about how something ALWAYS happens to us. As to what you should do. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and TALK to the guy. Given your obvious propensity towards drama, it is quite likely nothing is wrong and the guy is just busy or whatever. Either way, go talk.
