Okay, everytime I start running on the tredmill about one minute into the jogging my stomach starts hurting (it feels like a side ache but in the front of my stomach if that makes sense...?) anyways so I thought maybe it was because I was drinking water before... so I cut out the water before my run and it STILL happened... I also tried adding more water and that didnt help!
whats going on? how can I prevent this from happening?!?!
thanks in advance :D
Ahhh I hate those! Its a side cramp as said by bluecrocs.
Theres plenty of reasons why it may be happening: - You ate a lot before hand. - You didn't stretch properly (lactic acid build up). - "Cramps sometimes happen when you are an inexperienced runner. so as you get fitter, you may stop having them."
Things to help it: - Stretching the muscle before running. - Don't eat a lot withing an hour before running, snacks are ok. - If a cramp comes while running breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, try taking deep breaths as hard as it may be. - Apply pressure to where the cramp is.
you are getting cramps. it helps if you try to strech the muscle before you excersize. also, if you feel a cramp comming on put your hands on top of your head, I was told to do this when I had the same problem when I played soccer. don't eat a lot before running. cramps sometimes happen when you are an inexperienced runner. so as you get fitter, you may stop having them.
^^^awesome! thx. I'll try that tonighttt! :DDD
