I have quit smoking, and I do not want to gain weight. What can I do to stop this from happening?
I'd make sure that you consult a doctor or nutritionalist as they may be able to help. My (limited) understanding is that smoking increases your metabolism, so when you're not smoking cigarettes anymore (congrats on quitting btw!) you're metabolism will be slower.
Therefor, it's probably a good idea to pay extra attention to both what you eat & how much of it, as well as get excercise, etc.
Remember: you're doing the right thing for your health by quitting, so make sure to stay motivated & leverage any support means necessary - advice forums (like Fun Advice ;) ) friends, family, etc.

My mother has quit smoking too recently, and first she was eating a lot. But now she has read a book by Allen Carr and she says it really works. First she was thinking every minute about her cigarrete but she had quit, so instead she started eating. But after having read the book, she thinks: 'It's bullshit that I need it and it is even more bullshit that I need to replace it'. I hope you will succes your not-smoking
