R Tattoo's A Sin???

Im catholic but I wanna get a tattoo on my upper back and shoulderz but I keep hearing its a sin then its not because if thatz a sin I heard that also it sayz in the bible your not suppost to shave lol so that must b a sin to right??? and also is it worse if I get a cross or jesus or sumthing religious???…THX

I think that Jesus isn’t going to damn you to hell if you get a tattoo..I am a Christian by faith, but not practicing right now. I have 7 tattoos and will without a doubt get more and im not at all worried about getting into heaven because of them. The bible was written in a totally different time and some of the stuff in the bible was meant for the people from that time. So with regards to the tattoos I wouldn’t worry too much. But who the hell am I to give biblical advice..lol This is my personal opinion, but if your really that worried I would consult your pastor, preist etc..for the answer. Someone who knows the bible inside and out and can give you real piece of mind. Good Luck..

Well…

Leviticus 19:28: Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the Lord.

It seems pretty clear…but if you take that into it’s full context, then you also have to consider this…

Leviticus 19:27: Do not trim off the hair on your temples or trim your beards.

Given that…is it meant to be taken literally, or is everyone who gets a haircut a sinner?

omg deathglam okay we get it you dont believe in god but if someone is asking about him they dont want you to push your non beliefs off on other people…okay but yes its a sin but its not one god would turn you away for and also my boyfriend is catholic and he has 3 tatts and plans on getting more…
