Who is the one who was asked "in what position should we pray" and answered "in all positions!"
I like ty's answer.
Prayer is talking to God, in the Christian tradition. A good friend of mine used to use her daily cycle-ride to work as a time for prayer. She was a busy mother and that was her moment of free space in the morning. Another guy told me he prayed most freely at his gym, when the sweat was pouring off him and the music pounding. He just felt so grateful to God at times like that. They certainly knew about praying 'in all positions'.
A certain monk asked the holy Safan about the method of prayer, whether one ought to pray lying, sitting or standing. “One should pray in all positions” , was her reply. http://www.urneyandcastlefinparish.com/Urney%20Parish/St%20Safan.htm
On our knees, or prostrate.
Even while standing or in bed, we may be on our knees or prostrate in our heart as we lift prayers up to God!
