why do ppl get so mad when i tell them that i am going to join the marines?

Hmm…

(Navy hopeful here) The marines are more there for the honor and glory if you know what i mean. The regular army has colleges, hands on training, and a lot more technology than the marines. That might be a big factor.

i do the same thing to my friends when they say that, and i do it because i mean yea it is a good thing to help our country, but i think about the fact that they may never come back.. I also think about all the families who havea dad or husband or boyfriend in the marines/military and how a baby girl is left without a father and wont understand why, and how a girl is widowed because she lost her husband in war etc etc etc the list goes on but when you will think about it (at least me) it gets to me and makes you sad… && if they are your friends and parents saying that i am sure they probably want you to come back and there is always fear that you wont come back… :-/

well because they probely care about you!…and also your family..my uncle went their and i wasnt very fond of that choice!..but once again it is his life and he could do whateva he pleases to do….and also going to the marines is a big job…it involves death and war..thars why they get mad..they dont want you to leave them
