Poem I wrote... thoughts?
You’re gonna have to break down the door, ‘Cause I won’t let you in, Reach out your hand, And pull me from this ravine, But you’ll find you can’t, Cause my heart is submarine.
You say there is sun, Behind the endless grey, You try to take my hand, So we can run away, Into the sunset, Or until dawn, But I can’t run, For in my paw there’s a thorn.
Soon you will find, The grass on this side is just as brown, And you get up, Leaving me here on the ground, Realising; I’m not the same boy you once loved, Clouds have formed, Blocking all traces of the sun above, The same clouds don’t stop you, From touching the sky, ‘Cause even in your lowest low, You’re higher than my highest high.
