Why do people think im anorexic?

So lately people have been asking me if i have an eating disorderr, im 5’10’’ and weight 190 lbs! I mean really? Im nothing close to having an eating disorder, i think it might be because ive lost almost 50 pounds this last year, but i worked really hard to accomplish that. I mean it just makes me feel bad, but why do these people think this in the first place?

maybe bc they are jealous, if the people saying this are overweight, then i would believe they are indeed jealous of the fact that you lost a lot of weight…. and maybe they cant….. but you shouldnt care what people think or say about you life is too short…

Jaes, congratulations!!! It’s not easy loosing weight on a healthy program like you obviously must have. Eating less and exercising more. That is a program that is healthy - but difficult for some to try in today’s instant-gratification take-a-pill-to-solve-your-problems world. So people assume that you must have tried the ‘fast’ way - i.e. anorexia. Don’t let their attitude get you down. After all it reveals THEIR mind set.

Be proud of yourself, and know that you have learned a skill set that will help you maintain a healthy life-style.

Again, I say kudos!!!

Hoorah for YOU!! :) Depending on the people asking, what their motives might be. A mom might be worried, a heavy friend might be envious….Don’t let anybody sabatoge your hard work getting healthy….don’t allow them to make you feel bad…say exactly what you’ve said here…”What? It took a year to lose 50 lbs, and now I’m at 190”…ask me that if I get down to 100 lbs…”
