Why are people afraid of the dark?

Mainly because they can’t see in it and they have no control over what is there or what they can do. Like death, some people are scared of that. Why? Because some are afraid of what might happen after thru die, here they will go. When someone is in darkness. The can’t see and therefore creepy thoughts come to their head. Especially these days, most horror movies have scenes which are happening in darkness. The usual scrapping on the window, tapping on the door, the phone ringing,etc.

I’m afraid of the dark and the reason for that is because I never know what could be in the dark with me and I never know what could happen. I cant stand being in the dark alone, if I’m with someone else like a friend or something then I don’t mind at all. Its only a phobia and most people get over it as time passes. Hope this helped! :)

Just because you can’t see anathing, and you don’t know where your going to step, or who is around… and it’s just plain creapy. I know I’m afraid of the dark..
