I remember all the joy she made. even tho we made some mean joke about that dog. we never ment them. well I didnt. it going to be so lonely in this house. every day I wake up. knowing I wont never see that brown dog face again. =[ make me a bit sad to think about it. I’m sorry to hear about your dog. I’ve had lots of dogs. Not meaning to be heartless but I am just wondering why your familt has set the doomsday date for June? Its just leaving a dark cloud over your heads and its like a death count down timer. I dont know how sick your dog is. Why not just spend time with the dog until the dog is ready to go herself - itll probably feel more natural then. Alls I can say is maybe get another dog asap. It will never replace the one you have but youll have another dog who worships you and your family. Dont feel bad for teasing or making fun of your dog. Dogs are great, there part of the family we all have fights. Good luck and sorry about your puppy

Well, what I do know is that Sugar is going to Heaven with God and all his beautiful creatures. He doesn’t like anyone, human or animal to suffer with pain and when he decides you’ve had enough pain in this life, he takes you home to him. I am 100% certain that your beautiful dog will be watching over you all and will be much happier when s/he is at peace. Maybe you could bury her remains in your garden and plant a little tree where you can go and talk to her and each time a flower blooms on the tree you will know Sugar is there listening to you. Remember, “those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day”. Explain this to your mom and although it will be so sad always remember what’s best for Sugar - to be out of the pain and living peacefully in another world, free to roam the hills and valleys with no pain. You may not be able to see her but she will remain with you throughout your life and may even leave you little messages/signs to let you know she’s ok. God will look after her, you and your whole family. Watch how that little tree will grow that you plant for her, a sign that she is happy and at peace. I wish you all the very best. xx

I am so sorry for your loss:

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together…the Lord is Good !!

I to am sorry for your future loss, I do have to say this, I work at a vet hospital and I just want you to be aware of your choices before you put Sugar to sleep, You can be present if you like, you can take her back home to bury her, you can have her cremated and pick up the ashes or have her cremated with NO ashes saved. Please make the right choice for you and your family. I have my dog’s ashes in a beautiful urn with a wonderful black and white close up of her in my living room, this makes me feel like everyday she is part of our family, I also have my dogs foot prints tatooed on me as well as a necklace I found online of a doggie paw that you can put ashes into. The web site was called. Ashestoashes.com So do what you think is best. It is different for everyone to “get over” I am sorry and enjoy the time you can, but please do not let her suffer.

My heart aches for you. I can tell how dear this little dog is to you, and how much you will miss her.

Everyone who has had to make this decision for a pet, has felt the exact same as you…the ONLY bad part of having a loved pet, is that they don’t live as long as we do! You said this won’t be happening until June, so you have time to say a long goodbye…imprint her into your memory, and let her know everyday how much you love her and are going to miss her.

When the time comes to say goodbye…you will know that not only did you give her a wonderful place live out the rest of her life, but that sending on her way when she is suffering is the most unselfish thing you can do…

Hugs…
