“I smoke pot ill admit it pot is a herb its a natural experience, not chemical educed”

shrooms are natural too, but that doesn’t make it safe, or right genius.

Answer #5

nicklovescourt- it is no ones business to decide right from wrong, unless what you are doing harms another individual. So go on and smoke as much weed as you want. When you wake up in ten years under a stale bag of cheetos with cartoon network blaring and youre late for your job at Subway again… maybe you will see the need for a lifestyle change… But this is all hypothetical. it will never happen to you right? Pot is a sneaky drug that people tend to trick themselves into believing its harmless. Be careful.

Answer #6

Hey idiots–

To everyone saying pot is not a drug–you’re stupid. The word “drug” does NOT mean “man-made chemical.” A drug is anything besides food or water that changes your state of being. Aspirin, for example.

You could get technical with me, yes, and claim that pot is not a drug, the chemical THC is. That would be correct, but you wouldn’t be smoking pot with no THC, now would you?

If you want to go ahead and breed yourself THCless pot, which does NOT have any psychoactive effects, go right ahead, but the pot you buy from your friends that gets you whacked IS a drug, and the reason it gets you high is THE CHEMICAL inside it.

Answer #7

Answer #21

nicklovescourt - You didn’t pay much attention in science class did you. . . Many plants contain drugs. Willow - Aspirin Digitalis lanata (Grecian foxglove, woolly foxglove) - Acetyldigoxin Atropa belladonna - Atropine Papaver somniferum (poppy) - Codeine Cannabis sativa (marijuana) - a-Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) Here’s the list. http://chemistry.about.com/library/weekly/aa061403a.htm But a lot aren’t listed. Some are helpful while others are deadly. . some of the Chemicals are meant as a natural defense against Animals eating them. . Cannabis from a naturally wild plant is actually very week. . Cannabis from a cultivated plant which is what you smoke has been breed to be stronger and more potent. . it is not in the state God made it. Oh. . . Every head ( and Ex head) out there knows. . . the THC is what make you high. . . If you want to know what smoking weed with out THC is like I suggest you get some lawn grass clipping and dry them good and Roll em up. . . Here’s another list http://www.rain-tree.com/plantdrugs.htm And a place to read the truth about your harmless drugs. http://www.freevibe.com/Drug_Facts/ And take this quiz. http://www.freevibe.com/Drug_Facts/marijuana-and-your-brain-quiz.asp

Answer #22

Today’s weed is much more potent than pot of my youth. Growers have done a great job enhancing the THC content. Except for the legality problem, I would have to say it should be approach as drinking alcohol. Moderation is key. Self-control is a must, because as with anything fun, it has potential to be abused.

Some of my most brilliant friends partake in smoking pot. I have seen many of them over do it a bit, but they never get mean, nasty, or aggressive. I do however, have difficulty understanding some of them while they are stoned, their ability to articulate their ideas go down the drain. But it wears off, and they return to their real life jobs: doctors, lawyers, engineers, and other professions that don’t get drug tested.

As for a “stepping stone” – It is, because it has to be purchased through illegal channels that may also sell other drugs that aren’t as safe as pot. Legalization would solve this problem; but our government believes we are all immature little retards that do not have to ability to make decisions for ourselves. So they continue to ignore the facts and oppress your God given rights to make your own choices “Free Will.”

As with alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine; THC can have ill affects if abused. Weigh your choices well, be cautious of your source, be aware of the penalties and if you do proceed with the use of pot; BE RESPONSIBLE

Peace, Sting

Answer #23

No I don’t think so…yes it is illegal but who really decides what is right and wrong? The last time I checked in the United States we are free people. That gives us the right to make our own decisions. I used to smoke. I had a 3.0 GPA in college and am now in the medical field and doing excellent at my job if I might add. Stealing, murdering etc are wrong. Smoking marijuana in your free time is not. I do agree that a person who wastes their life away eating junk food and watching TV is wrong but you do not need marijuana to do that. Marijuana is used for a lot of medicinal reasons and I believe will never be legal but decriminalized someday. For all the people that say yes it is wrong, have you ever tried it? What is your vice when you go home and relax? Sitting down and drinking a bottle of liquor or a case of beer could be considered wrong but its legal so I guess everyone thinks its OK.

Answer #24

dude do what you think is right. thats all you should live by. the government isnt always right. they go out and plant pot so they can get money from busting people with it. if it was legal then people wood just grow it themselves and they coodnt tax it. thats the only reason why its illigal. the government doesnt care about people, only about power and money. smoking pot inspires creativity and gives you peace of mind. but it also causes you to lose ambition. take it from a true pothead, go ahead and smoke, but if its negetively affecting your daily life then cut back on it. I’ve been doin it for 3 years and my grades and my time on the mile have still been in the top 3 for my school.

Answer #25

and smoking pot has no correlation with lung cancer. if you can find me proof that smokin pot causes lung cancer then pleeze tell me. give me a study that proves it, a recent one. lung cancer from cigarettes is caused 90 percent by radiation from the fertilizer they spray on tobacco. (erowin.org/cannabis/cannabis_health2.shtml)

Answer #26

I think marijuana should be legal for retirees. My major beef with it is it seems to rob a lot of vibrant people of their ambition. I see nothing wrong with someone who has already lived up to their goals (kids grown and collecting those pension checks) smoking a joint and thoroughly enjoying scoobie doo reruns.

Answer #27

The constitution was made on paper that is a byproduct of marijuana. The laws against marijuana came after prohibition and have a rather shaky foundation. However, marijuana just like Valium is a drug, and used irresponsibly can be harmful to you .

The issue that has kept marijuana legal is the availability of it. People can grow a potent drug in their backyard, which you can’t do with Valium. The Federal Law that includes marijuana as an illicit drug is rarely enforced so the states usually do the drug enforcement on their own.

Answer #28

should be done responsibly

lol dont listen to what people tell u, its all misleading information you need to do your own research and see for urself

These are some of the comments I have copied from a forum

-pharmaceuticals are known to kill more people than illegal drugs

-marijuana is the number 1 cash crop in the world it serves as a natural medicine and has many other uses thats why they prohibited it so big companies can make more profit thanks to “bad journalism”

-can also help aids patients, aids diminishes appetite have them smoke a joint and they regain their appetite counteracting the illness

-no one can die from smoking cannabis and has been no known deaths compared to everything else including alcohol, tobacco, etc..

I myself have asthma and smoking opens up my airways making it easier to breathe with no side effects when medically legalized in my state I look foward to becoming a patient for prescription marijuana. 12 states have already legalized it along with other countries in the world and more following my job is to educate people that are not aware of the plants uses

re-legalize!

-I did most of my research through websites, books, magazines, and the news norml.org high times magazine etc..

  • theres more to it than just getting high and I believe legalizing it would make this a better world to live in

-God bless the whole crop!

  • and for people that dont smoke, you dont need to smoke it to support it

-all the better reason for the government to legalize.. couple reasons why it should be legalized: -will be removed from black market and stop empowering gang members -medical reasons -would be sold like alcohol, remember alcohol was once prohibited too (in stores away from children, have to be 21+) -would be a law that you cant drive while intoxicated on weed -prison population would lower (prisons are overcrowding with nonviolent offenders) -keep patients from being convicted -would provide millions of jobs for people -would make us an independent country (fuel, etc.., debt free america)

people with an addiction (including hard drugs) shouldnt be thrown in jail, they need help theres more people in jail with mental illnesses than there are in mental institutions

the list goes on

  • the War on Drugs is a failure, its a war on its own people. policies need to be changed we pay billions in taxpayers money to keep the war going and neither side is winning thats just a waste of our tax money I wonder what they do with all that money.. those greedy bastards just sell drugs back onto the street, you can even check urself on that there was a time when there was a cia operation transporting drugs overseas into america the government also provided Rick Ross with plenty of heroin to go around, course making money from it

the truth must be exposed, theyre dirty work must stop!

-Of course we can do something about it, we all just need to unite screw the federal government remember slavery? if no one stood up im pretty sure it would still be going on people were tortured, beaten, killed and thrown in jail but that didnt stop them standing up for their rights eventually slavery was abolished same with alcohol prohibition eventually became re-legalized

  • its like theres some kind of conspiracy going on I sense the government is up to no good and trying to control us. credit cards, money, and now they have chips that can be implanted in skin for uselful reasons but if in the wrong hands well were pretty much fuct they hiding the truth from us its dangerous to be right when the government is wrong they got theyre privacy but we dont. they want to know everything were doing on our leisure time

get up stand up!

  • marijuanas not anti-establishment because its illegal, its illegal because its anti-establishment

all facts stated have been double-checked and confirmed want to learn more? norml.org americandrugwar.org hightimes.com lets all make this a better place to live in!
