I actually did my friends hair with it. her hair is black. she bleached some sections first, and then we put manic panic purple in it. it had the consistency of silly putty and did not turn out at allll! we re-did it and blow dryed it a few days later, and it worked a tad better.
it's super hard to go from black to white (obviously). you might have to go through an awkward stage with your hair and get all of the colour stripped, and then go back with a fresh palette and try re-dying it whiter. or try and get your mom to do it for ya !
Manic Panic hair dye is NOT very good. Virgin Snow is a toner, and I'd be careful. As the post says above, lighter colours are very difficult to do by yourself, as they are dangerous to your hair's health and can turn out brass-y and patchy. I'd get it done professionally.
PS. if you ever use manic panic hair dye, leave it on a few minutes longer than the tub says and also use a hairdryer to dry the dye in your hair for a few minutes. it'll help set it.
Lol, Hi guys X) thanks for the advice! Actually though, my mom is a professional who isn't in the business anymore. So I just have her do it. So.. Does that mean it's not a pro product? Have u both used it for sure so you know? How did it turn out for you?
The reason im asking is cuz my hair has come a long way from black dyed. I tried a platinum toner from clairol, but it's still not as white as i'd like.
Its a toner, not bleach. Anytime your trying to go that light i would go to a professional, blonde and white are very difficult colors to do at home.
