Is Manic Panic's claim true about "if your hair is more porous, it'll work better"?
Anyways, cuz I’ve always heard that the more porous(xtremely bleached in my case) your hair is, the harder it is for your hair to hold on to the color (aka it fades faster). ~~~~~ALSO, if you’ve used manic panic.. do i seriously need to go out and buy a ph balanced shampoo,, or can I jus use my own? Oh, and u should tell me about 1 of their colors u’ve used b4 and how well u lyked it :) please and thank you for your time ;D
Manic panic does work better on top of bleached or blonde hair - only because almost all of their colors are intended to bright and some even neon, so the lighter the hair the closer its going to be to the color on the jar. I always bleached my hair before using their products.
Oh yeah, and a ph balanced shampoo alows the color to last longer, yes it works, you can use regular shampoo but its going to fade faster. You also shouldnt wash your hair more than every 2-3 days. Manic panic looks great for about a week or two and then it fades…its definatly not as good as salon brand dyes.
