Is loosing 16 pounds in a month a realistic goal?

Answer #1

It depends on how over-weight you are to begin with, if you’re like, 100 lbs over-weight then I’d say you could probably do that, but if you’re not like, obese then it’s probably unrealistic.

Answer #2

im 60lbs overweight currently, and im obese my doctor even said so.

Answer #3

It’s not. But many doctors are urging their overweight patients to do so. The healthy weight to lose would be a few pounds per month. But there have been stories online of people being able to lose 10 to 20 pounds in a month.

Answer #4

But you’re not morbidly obese, you just barely qualify, but maybe if you try hard enough you could make it happen, I dont know, though.

Answer #5

it could be…

Answer #6

At the rate of 1-1.5lb/week, it would take you 10-16 weeks respectively. However, this really depends on several factors such as genetics, and metabolism.

Since I assume you’re overweight, your metabolism is a bit slowed, so you gain weight easier. It’s a realistic goal, but only if your metabolism is faster than it is now, and you’re truly on a sensible diet that is aimed at weight loss, which is by eating 300-500 under your maintenance.

Answer #7

i say yes this goal is very possible! how do you plan on loosing weight though?
