Do you think it's right to NOT let someone get a licence just because they only have one eye?

I agree with this because it’s obviously going to be less safer driving with one eye instead of 2 (lol i hope this is about driving). I’d be pretty darn pissed off if I was involved in an accident with a driver with one eye.

No I think once the person passes the vision screening and possibly submits a medical stating that they are fit to drive it should be ok.

Here in Canada, you can get your drivers licence with only one eye. I am blind in one eye and have gotten one. I just had to pass the vision test. I find that I may lack in vision in some ways I pick up small movement better than most people, our bodies usually compansate for our faults. Being able to only see out of one eye has never caused me to have an accident or not be able to see the road around me.

I’m not too sure about how having one eye affects your vision and ability to drive. I’d have to find out more about this to base an opinion. Just thought I’d add that I know a pilot with one eye!

I think someone who newly lost vision in one eye may have problems at first and might not be safe to drive as they may deal with depth prespection problems, but for myself I was born that way so never had any problems. : )

My mother has been driving with one eye all her life. She has never had a serious accident. I see no problem with it. I mean if you can pass the vision tests why not?

Well if that peason sees fine with that one eye and passes the driving test, I don’t see why not.
