Answer #1

Yup

Answer #2

How long can you have it before it does?

Answer #3

I haven’t heard of one ‘expiring’ and I have never seen an expiration date on a lamp, but I do know that over time the bulbs that heat the lamp need replacing every so often (they burn out). The contents inside of the glass can also become a little strange looking and acting over time. The life span of the light usually depends on the usage and conditions in which it is placed in, however.

If your lamp isn’t working the way it should, replacing it would be your best option.
