Lacking mojo

I’m an artist working in a dead end job. I can’t think of nothing better than to have a job where you draw all day and get paid for it. I have been trying to “jump start” a career as an artist but somehow I feel like I lack the drive to become successful. I know in order to be successful you have to work really hard at it, but I feel like I’ve lost my mojo and find myself never getting to finish projects that I’m working on. Does anyone else feel this way? Does anyone know how to get it back?

Those type jobs are out there - commercial artist - architech assistant - medical procedures/operation artist - they’d get that mojo hummin again !!…Good luck !!

Answer #2

Sounds like you are anticipating no pay off for a lot of work. Give yourself some incentive, large or small, to finish each piece. Like get that article of clothing, or that tattoo, or way too expensive (fill in the blank here) with each piece you finish or every three pieces you finish.

Try new things in your life and see new things. More experiences should trigger some more creative paintings as well as being more cultered in general. Never be afraid to open up to something new. As an artist you will never get job security so you have to be at the top of your game at all times to succeed. Never be afraid to do big job like murals and other things for private contractors or companys.
