Do you think that the color of skin determines the color of clothes you wear yes or no? I need honesty!!! Seriously I'm dark like the singer M.I.A. Don't get me wrong she is gorgeous but me... No I'm ugly dark from what this person told me.
I totally can not imagine that navy blue would look bad on dark skin. If you like it in the mirror then wear it.
Yet I do think that people should wear different colors, depending on their hair, eye and skin colors. That isn't a question of racist or not. It's a question of style...
For example I am European-white with brown hair and gray-green eyes, but I get a yellowish golden-brown tan in summer. That tan color looks absolutely abhorrent when combined with pink or purple. But it goes well with all autumn colors. Yet, that isn't a general statement about that white people should not wear pink, because most people who get reddish-brown tans however look fine with pink and purple.
Honey, skin color doesn't determine what colors you where unless its red, red can be a tricky color. Anyway because you are dark you can wear any color. I'm the same way there are ugly colors that I can pull off but my friends never could.
Navy blue looks great on dark skin! I'm dark skinned, and it has always been one of my favorite color of shirts and jackets to wear. I'm wearing navy blue underpants right now.... I guess that was too much information?? LOL
On the other hand, when I go out wearing a white shirt, I get the most compliments. Pretty much every time I wear it. Yet, its my least favorite color.
There's nothing racist about this ... your skin tone has a lot of influence on how certain colours suit you, regardless of what race you are.
I think certain colours suit certain skin tones but I can't imagine navy blue not suiting dark skin.
Agreed, yellow makes me look like I need to be in hospital
