Is John Edwards being considered for the VP slot ?

Hope he isn’t banned from the convention for this, Bill Clinton will be there.

I’d like to see John Edwards get the VP slot. Personally I like Edwards better than Obama. To me Edwards is more of a populist. VP can be a road to the white house though in 2016 Edwards will be 63 which is a little old but not out of the question.

And they should ignore it until some real evidence is provided. Maybe the main stream media has looked into it and found nothing to it. If there was something there, it would have come out. There is nothing like a sex scandal to get the media salivating.

I think he definately is. But I would rather see him as attorney general. He would be much more effective in that role than vp. And he would be perfect to restore independence and integrity back to the justice department after the stink left by Ashcroft, Gonzo, and Mukasey.

But either way, Edwards should be involved someway. He is a true progressive…

Barack Obama’s VP shortlist might have gotten shorter: The National Enquirer yesterday published a story claiming it had caught John Edwards meeting with an alleged mistress and illegitimate child. Then again, the Enquirer hasn’t been able to produce quotes, photos or even eyewitness accounts. And the mainstream media seems to be ignoring it, for the most part. -Los Angeles Times-

8/8/08: In an interview for broadcast tonight on Nightline, Edwards told ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff he did have an affair with 42-year old Rielle Hunter, but said that he did not love her.

Edwards also denied he was the father of Hunter’s baby girl, Frances Quinn, although the one-time Democratic Presidential candidate said he has not taken a paternity test.

Edwards said he knew he was not the father based on timing of the baby’s birth on February 27, 2008. He said his affair ended too soon for him to have been the father.

I thought I heard something about John Edwards being chosen for the vp slot but, I don’t think that it’s deffenate. It could be possible since now that Hillary is out of the race and Obama wouldn’t want her for VP but, yet there were rumors for her running for VP. Enstead of her, I myself would probably consider John Edwards as Obama’s running mate anyday. Yet, I can’t imagine Edwards running for VP. It’s possible though like I said.
