Who else is sad that Heath Ledger died?

Certainly it’s a sad day for his loved ones, friends, and fans.

absolutelly tragic. way too young. aparently autopsy said they have so far only found perscription meds but they have to wait ten days to see if anything else is in his bloods. sooo sad..

one less person, I mean I have seen many people die in my life, You can’t greive over some one like this, an actor. But someone who changed the world, Like Martian Luthern King jr, or Steve Erwin. People who have helped the world, not [Just] an entertainer.

Yeah it’s so sad! He was a awesome actor and from what I’ve seen an equally awesome person. Aww it’s soo sad especially for his baby girl Matilda Rose and his family.

god he was amazingly beautiful. so sad. oh. and dumb person who replyed to this question. its not because he’s famous its sad. he had amazing features and was a very good actor that gave many people entertainment.

God, so what if he died of drug over dose. Does that make it any less tragic, or any less poignant?

Stephanief987 - What if it was your brother, or father, or son? Maybe it’s your opinion, but considering it’s a time of mourning for his family and fans, wouldn’t you think re-wording that statement would have been more responsible?

I can’t believe he’s actually gone. He’s been one of my favourite actors for ages and is stll going to remain one of my favourite actors!

I tottaly cried this morning when I found out he died and in an hour im planning on watching the titanic over and over again

I couldn’t believe it when I read it! I was and am still really looking forward to his last role as the Joker in The Dark Knight movie though. Very sad… R.I.P…

As much as it might cause controversy, I can see where stephanief987 is coming from- when people of that age take drugs, they are old enough to know about the risks. The statistics and examples are everywhere. In this case, it is alleged he took an overdose of sleeping pills, which could potentially make it a suicide (it’s not common to get high off those sort of drugs, not that I’ve heard of anyway). Yes, it’s sad that he died, he was a pretty good actor. But most people can read the dosage on a pill bottle.

They were prescription drugs, and last I knew it was still unknown whether or not it was intentional.

It is sad, but at the same time I’m hearing that it may be drug related. And if thats true, then its his own fault in a way, drugs will do that.

Heath Ledger’s father, Kim Ledger, flanked by his family, released a statement on Australian television:

We, Heath’s family, confirm, the very tragic, untimely and accidental passing of our dearly loved son, brother and doting father of Matilda. He was found peacefully asleep in his New York apartment by his housekeeper at 3:30 p.m. U.S. time.

We would like to thank our friends and everyone around the world for their well wishes and kind thoughts at this time. Heath has touched so many people on so many different levels during his short life but few had the pleasure of truly knowing him.

He was a down to earth, generous, kind-hearted, life-loving and selfless individual who was extremely inspirational to many. Please now respect our families need to grieve and come to terms with our loss privately.
